As some of you may know that i painted some dash pieces on the side of my truck about 2 years ago.Basically i scuffed it up abit and sprayed it on.Well it has started to chip bad the last year.So now i want to re-do it.But the right way.I'm finally getting tired of looking at the dash pieces that have chipped off.

What grit paper should i use? What primer should i use also?I already got the paint.Any advice you guys want to give me to make sure it sticks this time for a very long time would be awesome guys. Also maybe a step by step of how to for best results

Somone told me to use an etching primer anything sprayed to it will never chip off.Is this true?

Take all that paint back off and leave it off.

Self etching primer is for metals NOT plastics. If you insist on screwing up your dash you need plastic paint and NO primer. :suicide: :suicide: :suicide:

x2. you will need some Krylon Fusion, or Lowes has a Generic Name Plastic paint. Get some thinner to take off the old paint. Using sandpaper will possibly leave smooth spots on the texture plastic, and making it look funny when its painted compared to the rest.

Take out all the textured pieces and sand them with 180 or 220, then get some BLACK krylon fusion and paint it.
