When getting my new tires they noticed a wobble in the front wheels. Turns out my ball joints are shot and need replaced before the trucks safe to drive. I got a quote for $800 to get them replaced. So my question, how hard is it to do haha? I've got the shop, lift, equipment and people to do it, just...don't know what i gotta do
don't pay that ridiculous price for balljoints. do it yourself its not hard i did it on the white truck by my self. upper A arm/ball joints are like $100 each and you can get lowers for about $20 each. rent the ball joint press from autozone and press the lower ball joints in with a socket.
DAMN 800.00, dude don't pay that, and I wouldn't go back there either. Holy shat, that's crazy. Do it yourself and save that money.
The top ones are made into the control arms so you replace the entire control arm. Bottom, just use a press to change them out. It's easy if you have a little mechanical knowledge
