Ok i've been thinking more and more about getting a set of these. They would be replacing the lights in my valance, Which are just a set of walmart 55w 1x1 fogs. Granted i cant go out and by a set tomorrow because i need to buy a couple other things for my truck first. But these will none less come soon because i need the extra lighting. I do alot of driving on back country roads that have tons of deer and wild hogs and the only lighting out there are the lights of my truck. So i dont really know what set to look at? I need which ever will provide the most light, but im not really educated on which is the best and there seem to be a ton of options available. What I've been looking at is the Rigid Dually 4 led flood lights. Or would a spot light style be better. I need the most amount of light covering for the least amount of price.

You would probably be better off with dually spot pattern. the flood will flood the area but a spot will shine further down the road and light up animals within a distance for you to respond to it propperly.

Well i kinda looked into those but dont know much about them, but i was also planning on upgrading my hellas along with my normal light to hids. So i figured i'd use the the set up like i do know, the floods to light up close, the hellas to shine far out and then my normal lights for normal coverage?

i agreewith j wal ..... the spots would be better . the floods will light up everything in a 30 ft area the spots go out farther . and would give ya a lil bit more heads up

i think you should get a set of each that way you dont have to worry about one outperforming the other

In my own imaginary world, where. Respect for wome
I have to disagree w/ the flood pattern only being noticeable to 30'. i can actually see mine 1/4mile reflecting off of road signs, and thats w/ other cars in front of me headlights being overshadowed by my orange. now, you dont "notice" they are on much like you dont tell overhead street lights are on, until they reflect upon something.

but w/ that being said, i would still recommend the spot. if you are wanting noticeable light, then the spot will give it since it is more focused, hence "spot" lighting. dont get me wrong, i love my floods, but for what you are wanting, spots are the way to go.

exactly. the flood's main focus is the surrounding area so it may at its peak intensity at 30 feet however, they do throw light a lot futhur than that. I promise.
