    Good Afternoon,

I have an 07 F150 5.4 3V that's nearing 100,000 miles. I desire to do a timing system replacement, chain, phasers, and other "should do while you're in there: Components. I've heard a lot of things about rocker arms and low oil pressure, and would like to replace the rocker arms while im in the engine. I'd also like to do the spark plugs, another known sore spot I was able to find complaints about in the engine's design.

I am NOT a mechanic. I am a young'n who has done a timing chain and chain driven waterpump job on my other car (Pontiac Solstice/ecotech engine) and helped a friend do his miata's Clutch, flywheel and timing belt as well as a few fluid changes. That is the entire extent of my wrench turning experience. So, detailed "talk to me like im five" assistance would be very appreciated.

Where can I find a detailed list of parts ill need to complete this job, and what other "Do while your in there"s should I look for? What good techniques should I use for things like the spark plugs, chain, etc?

I assume I'll need chains, gears/phasers, guide rails, rockers, gaskets, thermostat, plugs and RTV. What am I missing.

I know this is asking a lot, assistance would be greatly appreciated. Also, I don't plan to do this immediately, sometime in the next few months. Thanks in advance for any advise you can give.
