does anyone know how to adjust the shifter cable on an automatic tranny. after the body lift went on i cant get it into park. the indicator is on P but its really reverse. i heard there was an adjuster wheel but i cant seem to find it.

yep your right it is not at the transmission. this is under the stering wheel. all it adjust is the maker to tell you what gear your in. on my truck you can adjust the cable. all you have to do is pop the cable off. there is no clip is just a ball in a socket type connection. then you can move the clip forwards or backwards.

ok ill try the wheel. i dont wanna pop the connection off cuz its most likely brittle like the rest of the plastic on the truck. and id sure hate to break it and have to crawl under to put it in gear haha

i sthe transmission going into park or just the indicater say its in reverse. the wheel under the steering wheel won't adjust the cable going to the transmission, just the indicator.
