t-fiddle, forgot to mention i already replaced the pcv and i already had the parts store scan it, and my buddy has the same exact scanner they have at his house called a guy i know who is a ford mechanic but does work at his personal garage, he said hes was already swamped with work and kinda blew me off now let me ask you guys this, will they be able to tell me whats wrong for sure or am i still gonna be chasing codes?
not sure bud, you maybe still code chasing. I do have a guy in willoughby, oh that is ford certified, does real good work. I know its a haul for ya, but let me know if you want his number. I'll give it too ya.
heres the codes we pulled P0133 - O2 sensor bank 1 P0135 - O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 heater circuit P0141 - O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 heater circuit P0155 - O2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1 heater circuit P1131 - Lack of upstream Heated oxygen sensor switch - lean Bank 1 P0171 - Bank 1 lean P0174 - Bank 2 lean P0401 - EGR insufficient flow P1409 - EGR vacuum regulator control fault
yea, the CEL light wasnt on so i was never worried till i started having problems, well turns out the light is either burned out or the bulb was removed when i bought the truck, my mechanic friend just left me message so bout to call him up and see if i can meet up with him
so heres what my buddy told me, the first 2 O2 sensors a fried, the sensor for the EGR is fried, the cats are clogged up to the point that they are blowing rubber return lines off of the EGR sensors, (wondered why the one line was always off), and he said the the throttle body is probly gunked up pretty good, so basically i've got $150 to replace the sensors and a reason to eliminate the cats and run true duals
not sure you can rip out them cats in Ohio... unless you don't have echeck out there. Your in trumbell county right? I know ashtabula doesn't have echeck. I need to find out if my county has it.
