well just replaced the FPR and it didnt fix it, and now it bucks and kicks around 45 mph doesnt even wanna cruise anymore

did some research on the FPR and really thought that was it, it described everything wrong with it, now im really upset

so now i guess i need to get a fuel pressure gauge and if the pressure is too low then possibly the fuel pump? and if its good then a bad injector?

Yeah sounds like a plan.. id definitely check your pressure before throwing money at it again though

well just measured the fuel pressure at the fuel rail

    it should be:

35-45 psi - key on, engine off
30-45 psi - key on, engine on

    it read:

25 psi - key on, engine off
28 psi - key on, engine on

    in both tanks,

so as long as i did it properly, that would lead to the fuel pump, but both tanks are the same, and the fuel filter is brand new so thats not the issue

there's a fuel pump on the rail of the truck outside of the tanks, that might be the problem

all i did was connect a pressure gauge to the schrader valve on the fuel rail

also it seems to be running better since i replaced the FPR, drove it for the first time in a week today, it seems to idle a little smoother and just has a slight stutter now, and sometimes after brief stops it doesn't do it at all, idk if its due to the cooler weather? the other day i drove it before i replaced the FPR, it was 90 and i had the air on and it stuttered real bad almost stalled and bucked like crazy when cruising
