Well I think I got a wheel bearing on drivers front goin out. Im thinkin about redoing all the tie rods and ball joints when I do the wheel bearing.. Yall think this is a good idea even though some may not be out? Also what brands are best? Ill probably order from rockauto and I have heard moog was best but idk.. I say if you got the money to do it all.... Do it! You have what 200,000+ miles? You put all new up there and it will drive like a new ride! Lol J.Wal
You may as well do the bearings on both sides. I did one side on my old beater car and a week later had to do the other side. I don't know that I would do the rest of the stuff unless it was in need of replacing though. I mean, preventative maintenance is great but I generally don't fix stuff like that if it's not broke. Moog is a good brand.
don't fix what isn't broke, but check all it of it out, incase it's that is going bad causing your wheel bearing to fail.
Well shes creaking and popping a little. So far here is the stuff I NEED...im prettt sure drivers ball joint is shot, wheel bearing, and new shocks. Thats what I need badly. But im thinkin since it has 218k go ahead and do upperarms and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks, wheel bearing, and steering stabilizer. Also gotta get a dpfe or watever for the egr code. At least I think the dpfe is what the problem is. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I am the type that I hate working on my truck, then a month later having to fix something I could have the weeks before. No scence in waiting time. Knock it all out at one time if the funds are available and enjoy the ride! J.Wal
Yeah all ive done since ive lifted it is replaced one ball joint Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
Do everything. You will regret half-assing it. Its a bear to have to take all apart. Then do it again a week later.
