I've been having doubts that my truck is actually an Fx4 or not and i think i figured it out but i'm not sure. Theres a couple reasons i think it might be an STX rather than an FX4: 1: I've found evidence all around the truck that it's been repainted at some time in it's lifetime 2: I have the cloth interior with the column shift and FX4's have leather interior with the console shift in the middle 3: My bumpers are PTM which are only on FX4's FX2's and STX models 4: I looked up the axle code (H9) which is 3.55 limited slip which is only in STX models (FX4's have 3.73 electronic locking) 5: With number 4, the few times i've gotten stuck it just didn't feel like my rear end was locking because both tires didn't spin fully at all times 6: If i'm not mistaken the STX's and FX4's both have the "H" bar grille 7: The cluster doesn't have the FX4 logo underneath the speedometer so with that being said i think my truck is an STX 4x4 in which the last owner just slapped an FX4 sticker on
Your interrior have that?? If so chances are its legit.. Even if they cloned the outside I doubt they would do the inside..
it has the warm steel accents and the carbon mesh on the inside like around the radio and on the doors. but what worried me was the 3.55 limited slip axle code. also, it doesn't have the FX4 logo in the cluster
I bet its legit.. From what im reading 3.55 was offered as a option depending on rim size.. Do you have the skid plates??
