    If it makes you feel any better, My '04 FX4 also has the cloth interior with the column shift. Apparently, it was an option to have leather seats and console shifter.

    then it could be one. it's just the repainting and the axle code that got to me

    Like I said I think 3.55ls was an option... and it could have been painted for anything... Even if it was a STX it would have had PTM bumpers so no need to paint..

    Well repainting is anyone's guess. Where did you find spots of evidence that it has been repainted?

    ^^Exactly. I think I read in a few places that 3.55 was an option also.

    idk if the options changed or not for the 09+ but i went on ford and build a custom f150 and 3.73 locker is only offered on FX4 and 3.55ls is only for stx. Also when i bought it i looked at both the front and rear diff's and between the diff and the diff cover there was idk whatever you use to seal a differential was seeping out like both had been opened and had work done. maybe they put a locker in the back or gear swap or something
