Ha ha not quite. I could just suck it up and put some money into my truck, new tires, new springs, ball joints are good but my power steering pump is whining, and a few other minor things.

I don't NEED another vehicle but the convenience of something smaller and quieter is appealing. I don't know what to do ha ha. I'll probably browse craigslist for months and months and end up not doing anything because I can't find anything that fits my picky preferences and just fix my truck as needed when needed and this thread will get buried and forgotten ba ha ha.

You know what I bought as a backup,
got it in 2003 when I was running 25K
miles per year in service calls for the
    commercial inkjet service/sales.

Old threads never die, they just get
brought back to life one day soon.

I don't think I've ever seen a pic of it! It's clean. I've had two of them in that year range, great trucks! The only reason the lightning has my eye is it's more of a street truck and just something different. I'd love to have a mustang and the lightning is the closest I think I can get with it still being useful to me on a daily basis. Hard to go from 400-something hp psd to a 180 hp ranger ha ha though I'm open to it if I can find a good looking clean one, I'm just going to keep my options open all around.

just my take, keep your truck and dump some money into it making it nicer. the 7.3 drive train is dang near hard to beat but the interior and ride isnt. swap a new model interior into it or have custom seats made with memory foam, pull whole interior apart and dynamat it, new nice shocks, power retracting steps, a nice tablet dash or in dash touchscreen integration system and your truck will instantly feel newer but yet there is no risk of buying a used vehicle, because you already know your truck in and out.

this is essentially what ive done to my truck and love every dime ive spent on ride and driving comfort.

A little more work than I had in mind but I think you're on the right track. Some nice wheels and tires, some nice seat covers maybe put a muffler back on it and quiet it down a bit. Newer interior and a tablet may be a bit more than I need ha ha, it is still a work truck after all. I think I'm just getting antsy having not done anything major to it in a while.

I like this! It's in canada land though, only a couple hours from me. Not sure how to transfer a title from Canada, couldn't be much different than state to state. Speedo would be in KM though I think ha ha.

Can't be to complex to bring it to 'Merica.
Instrument cluster swap wouldn't be that bad.

Do like the color, tire wheel combo and add ons.
Makes me want to strip the 2003 bumper
I put on our 2001 for that little bit more of chrome.

This was the exact look I was going for on my 02 edge I had. I was just missing the lift and the chrome bumper. Mine was red though.
