no doubt its a flaw, however there are tons of lightning/harley owners that are seeing lots of boost with factory 4 thread heads, if you torque them properly then they'll last, there is a sweet spot, too much or too little will spit them like tobacco. if the threads are boogerd from being tightened down too much in the past this may be irrelevant. and pulling the heads on these things is no task..not like a pushrod engine lol. just buy some 8 thread heads and be done.

That kit has been in my truck for 10 months and no issues. Took about 15 minutes to fix it.

So just an update, got all 8 time serting and ready to rock. I also talked to our spark plug rep and he told me to get these certain ngk iridium plugs. Just an interesting thing that I just learned is that just putting iridium plugs in a motor won't do a whole lot for, unless the motor came stock with iridium plugs or there are certain plugs specially cataloged for the motor. I had just bought some iridium ngk ones from work that came up in the computer as theyll work for my motor but then I talked to our rep and he directed me towards the different set of plugs which will work much better. Anyways I put new iridium plugs in and new plug boots and a new coil for the one that blew out. Man does this motor run sweet now!

But the great white is finally back on the road!!

Also I'll be selling that time sert kit now that I'm done with it so pm me if you have questions about it or look for it in the classifieds.
