So I came across a truck on craigslist the other day and I have never seen one like it before. It may just be custom stuff that the owner did but it seems to be stock. I have heard of a different package that was offered in canada but im not sure.
This one has ptm bumpers and sport stickers on the box. it has the 4.6 v8. but from my knowledge the ptm bumpers and the 4.6 were offered in the stx package but that didnt come out until 2003.

Am I just stupid or is this weird to anyone else?

It may have been prior to the STX. Later renamed STX. Since it wasnt really a "sport" truck.

Ya. I think it was before the stx. I've seen some before with the painted bumpers and those wheels that say sport edition. I don't really know why they called it a sport addition though.

My last truck was a sport 4x4... pretty much an xlt with a little different stance. I have seen several of the 'sport' 2wd versions running around my area. It was available on both the regular cabs and extended cabs. As 97 stated not much of an upgraded package especially if you only got the 4.6L. I was lucky mine had the 5.4L
