Are the pitman and idler parallel right now? If so then scratch that last idea... when you turn the wheel to the left a 1/2 turn does the pitman and idler point straight back 90* perpendicular to the frames xmembers, and the tires are to the left? I'd knock the pitman arm off and turn the wheel left a 1/2 turn and remount the arm...
