So some of you know about my trac bar issue I had. Well, I got my truck back after they put the new bolt in and re aligned it, they even put a tack weld on the bolt head so if I had any other issues I wouldnt lose the bolt.

Now normally I would ***** about it, but since he squeezed me in while he was swamped so I wouldnt be down a truck for too long im not going to complain. He also gives us a few free bees here and there since we bring ALL of our stuff to him. Hes a truck and trailer place so we take all of our trailers family and work vehicles there. I give this background explanation to avoid any negative comments on the shop.

But They got the alignment all squared away, and the bolt, but they forgot to re align my steering wheel. I just want to confirm that what I did wont hurt my alignment at all, I dont think it will but I wanna double check. I loosened the clamps that hold the threaded sleeve and rotated it until my wheel aligned with my steering, I think its called the drag link. Took me a couple times, but I got it pretty damn close. This is the first time ive touched anything under the solid axle so I just want to verify that what I did is in fact the solution to my problem.

    thanks

Did the same thing to my F250, I marked the original position with a grease marker
then rotated it until the steering wheel matched the track of the truck when driving on flat level road. Took a couple tries to get it exact.
Most roads have a crown in them to make the water run off when it rains,
which could make it feel as if it isn't aligned correctly.
I know when the road has a bigger crown cause I have to hold the steering wheel to the left ever so slightly to track straight.

Yeah, we took my dads truck by there today to fix the AC, I told him about it, he said that its one way to do it, but he would like me to bring it back by for an hour just to make sure it is aligned properly because it should have aligned the steering wheel too.
