Still got my 2 codes!

Well pulled my codes just a min ago and yet again, my same old codes are back! P0401 and P0402.. I cleaned the TB and egr ports good and its still here. There is a slightly rough idle, not much but im thinking maybe DPFE sensor, what do yall think.

Tyler have you replaced the EGR?

 

nope not replaced the egr. just cleaned egr ports inside the tb and tb itself

 

alright, i wish i could post up what im reading but i cant copy it. its saying to check the DPFE sensor.

i was able to copy this.

"Check EGR PID while applying vacuum to egr.....good dpfe sensor reading will be above 4.0 volts when a good vacuum is applied to egr valve....at or less than 1.0 volts at idle without vacuum applied..."

 

for the p0402 trouble code it says to check hoses to make sure they arent pinched but that sensor can also fix this trouble code.

 

I know most of these models with the 4.6 had dpfe problems. Ill do the suck test on the egr saturday

see if that sensor is the problem. let me know if you need to know anything else, i can usually pull it up on mitchell.
