ive seen the blue....but why do they do it blue? and another vote on 20%, my 35% it just a tad lighter than the back ones...but hard to telll unless your looking at it in broad daylight and straight at it.
It's suppose to help visibility and also look more elegant. It's also not a film, the glass itself is actually blue.
I see.....do all yalls tint look kinda blurry? my back windows are tinted glass so its clear but my fronts are kinda blurry front the tint...
do it yourself its not hard, just be patient cut it on the outside first then put it on the inside little trimming and good to go
Doing it yourself isn't too hard. It's mostly about patience to be honest. Just make sure to buy a quality tint. The stuff that AutoZone and places like Wal Mart sells turns purple in a few months. It's not high quality tint like a tint shop will use. You should get a lifetime warranty from damn near every tint shop out there. Keep that in mind also. My tint looked blurry for a while on the driver's door and I ended up having it replaced from it bubbling. Other then that tint shouldn't be blurry dude. You may want to check on that. The only tint that looks somewhat goofy looking through it is on a window with a defroster. And that's only in certain cases. It's still not what I'd call blurry.
Getting a smooth cut around the edges and not getting any trash under it is the hardest part about tinting. I've done several for myself and friends. Tint prices around here vary depending on the film quality and warranty. The guys that do it as their main line of business around here won't tint anything darker than state law allows. That's why my fronts are 35%. My last car that I tinted, I did 5% on the backs and brow and 10% on the sides. You definitely couldn't see into that car but it was like driving around at night even at high noon.
That's part of the problem. Professional grade tint is expensive by the roll. That's why I just let a shop do it...that and I've got a buddy that has his own tinting business.
