Most 2 channel amps are bridged using this configuration, the speaker side pictured is a single voice coil setup:
My suggestion was that you had the sub wired wrong. My subs have never cut out because of overheating issues or any other issue for that matter.
I'll get the specs for everything and my exact wiring diagram and maybe some of y'all with more experience can doube check my work. I suggest the same for jarrett.
well tyler, you know my set up.... i have my amp underneath my pass. backseat. i guess it could be overheating...
My overheated yesterday. Class ab amps run a bit hotter expecially wen it was over 100 inside my truck Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
My amp is in the storage compartment behind the back seat. I have a class D amp with no cooling fan. Im not saying it isnt possible to overheat because of it being hot.
mine is behind seat also with 2 cooling fans but my truck had been setting in open sun then i was hitting pretty hard before they went out
this is a rough drawing of how its wired. the pos and neg on the sub are jumped to the other pos and neg terminals.
