Ok I think I made my mind up. Im gonna buy my dad's 95 f250 w/ 460 BB and it also has 35's. I wanna buy it for a mud truck/off road toy so the rough ass suspension will have to go.

anyone know of a big ass lift for it that will smooth out the ride? but the suspension will still have to handle custom steel bumpers.

Im gonna give him $3500 so he can go back to being a kid and get a chevy reg cab short bed z71 with a 6.2 (if new) or a 5.7 or 6.0 if older

he said he will the it fixed before i buy it it has a short it the harness which is causing the computer to eff up and not let the tranny shift. And it runs like a beast but gets 150 miles on the 2 tanks of gas so ya. I might keep it on the road to drive it to the mud holes.

here are a few pics (the utility bed will be removed and I'll find a stock bed for it or make one)

    my plans are to
    straight pipe it
snorkel or seal off most of the engine compartment to reduce the amount of water allowed in it
    the lift
biggest tires i can fit on it
    alot of bedliner
    paint
custom 4 inch steel pipe bumpers (ill get a pic of the heavy mofos I'll be using)
    and custom skid plates

thats all for now tell me what you think about the project and what i can do about a smooth riding lift

Why does it matter how it rides if it is only going to be a mud toy? I mean if your playing, then you aint gonna notice how it rides...

So if you have a bad back, how are you gonna mud? All the times I've done it, it was a pretty rough ride.

i think that's a good project, i'd make sure it's running good before the rest of the changes. it would be cool/different to keep the service bed.
