    Yea I believe my Cam Phaser is going if not gone.This is my truck idling and the sound keeps up past 1200 rpms and it doesn't sound good....I plan on replacing the phaser soon

    Both of your engines sound like a normal or typical 5.4. Most of that noise you hear is the cam phasers combined with loud injectors plus the added exaust leak we put up with that eventually gets louder over the year with the phasers. My 5.4 is the same way and there's a hell alot more that are like that too. 5.4 makes noises so we know it's running and burning gas. :jester:

    My truck is way more quiet than Dylan and Preston's trucks and I have a 5.4 too.
