i know Preston was looking into getting his replaced he took his truck to a shop not too long ago. I have no idea when it comes to this just that they are a PITA. I bought an 08 specifically to avoid this.

yeah lucky.. i'm really starting to hate this 04. 4 cats, already had to replace a window motor assembly, the cam phasers the VCT sensors the lean codes. it's ridiculous but i guess thats what you should expect on the first year model of a body style change...

I wasn't going to buy an f150 if i couldn't find an 08. My last car gave me enough headaches, i didn't need a truck i was making payments on to be the same thing.

if you are talking about changing the phasers....goodluck. your looking at about 18 man hours. pulling the valve covers off and taking all that **** apart. thats why internal engine work is the number one thing i will pay a person to do. i am replacing mine around january and im going to have them take off the timing chain cover while they are at it and check my tensioners.

go to FORD and do it. I am telling you....let them check your **** too because if your tensioners are bad...those are what can cause your motor to blow.
