just take your bed off and make it a flat bed. minus the weight and more aerodynamic:jester:

this is what i would also go with. the side are velcro and the back locks down with a spring loaded lever and it maybe sticks up like 3/4s of an inch

thanks everyone who voiced in on this. As most of you have mentioned, the Leer lid types decrease functionability of the bed and therefore I hadn't planned on getting one, just put it out there.

I figured it would be close between the JackRabbit and a Rollup leather, but was surprised the JR won. That is actually the one I chose, so I guess I broke my own tie. Darth Bama hit the nail on the head. The reason I liked this the best is because you can't even tell its on until you get up next to it and look down into the bed. I find a deal, I can prolly get one for around 760 shipped, complete set. Should be able to order it at the end of next month (anniversary is tomorrow so I'm tapped right now).

Thanks again to all that chimed in w/ their pick and why. :waytogo:

I wonder how long the vinyl holds up on that PE cover?

I would love to have a cover of some sort but any of them are going to be a pia when I need to load my atv into the back. I don't think that I could get it in there with the retractable canister at the front of the bed.

i have a leather one on mine, been on for a year and is holding up fine, i used armor all on it once, mainly to get all the dirt out of the fine lines and creases, idk if that will keep the leather soft or not to keep it from cracking but damn did it look good after

i forgot that the Jack Rabbit was a vinyl roll up retractable system. They do make a Full Metal Jack Rabbit, but thats gonna be 1240 shipped, even w/ discounts. I am looking into a BAK RollBak G2 now, because I think its a bit more than a regular JR, but quite less than the Full Metal JR.

whatever you choose DO NOT go with the truck lid. i had one of those on my 99 ranger, it was a pain in the ass. anytime i had to hall something big i had to drive with that stupid thing open. plus the lift shocks on the lid can bend if something hits them. I would go with one of the other 2. just my .02.
