Hey guys!! Just want to know from the tow guys out here which motor seems more capable the 5.0v8 or the 3.5ecoboost? Looking at an f-150 but still flip flop on what motor choice.

Side question as well, on the ecoboost are the issue proned, or are there specific things that go out on it. I know repairs on the ecoboost would be higher cause of the turbo but just want some more info on it guys!

Thanks for all responses in advance!

    I prefer the 5.0

How much weight are you pulling?

The heaviest thing for now, will be an 8k full loaded travel trailer. Most likely be the heaviest thing ever it'll pull.

Going to be my workhorse more than anything.

Either truck will work. I've noticed more Ecoboost issues on the forums than the 5.0, mostly due to water ingestion and condensation. Make sure you get the right tow package for that much weight
