Got mine to work. Need to work on it some though, its loud but not loud enough. More air and more trumpets will fix my problem.
just got home from the store with my materials. i'm gonna try it with plexiglass for the diaphragm and a 4" body to 1" pipe instead of 3" body to 3/4" pipe. couldn't find the right adapters to go down to 3/4" that i wanted, probably going to get an even lower tone this way anyway
i was using single aluminum flashing but i do have a warning for everyone. DO NOT GO ABOVE 150PSI!!! I got it to sound deep at 100 then in shop class stepped up to 175 the metal deformed and created nothing but a high pitch whistle that really hurt everyone's ears.
did you use the 3" body? i made mine a 4" body down to 1" pipe to get a lower tone but can't get it to blow. maybe i'll have to take out the 2 polycarbonate diaphragms this weekend and try 1 or 2 metal
used a three inch body. sadly, the picture screwgreen found almost seemed easier to build once i read over how to build them. But i do have a warning now..... dont use 175psi. I tried this today with the back of the diaphragm covered and it did sound very nice at first but then SOMETHING, not sure what, happen and the horn lost its low tune and went to a ear piercing high pitch whistle that left everyone's ears that was within 20 feet ringing for a long time
