Thanks everyone!! I'm glad too that everyone was okay. They are still talking about fixing it. But I'm going to push hard to get it totaled. I'm not down with replacing a section of the frame. If anything replace the whole frame. Think it's going to be a long battle to get them to total it. I don't want a tainted truck with 62k on it. A new one sounds good but the damn thing is paid off.

62k isn't that many miles. Check the blue book and see What It's worth. Could be a nice down payment on a new 5.0

Try wouldn't replace the frame.. They'll put it on a rack and stretch and twist it back straight

They said they make a sections for our frames now. That they will cut it and weld it back together! That is a big NO in my books. It's going to be a long journey to get them to do what I want. A law suit might be in place soon cause I'm not having a truck that runs the desert at higher speeds with a subpar frame.

That's exactly what I've been telling them!! I have to make some more calls to try and get them to listen to me. Only time a frame should be messed with is when you are going completely custom.

Talk to your insurance company about vehicles with welded frames and What that does to the resale. Did you ever figure What your truck is worth? Most times they'll total it if the repair is a percentage of total value.
