Been a while so figured i could bring yall up to speed.

Been driving a company taco for the last 15 months and so hadnt driven the SD in a while so when i had to be in houston for training and carpool i decided to enjoy driving it around houston again... that is until the starter took a crap. Got me upset and thinking it was time for something different. Fast forward 3.5 weeks and ended up selling the trusty 6.0 (new starter and all) and being truckless for a few days. Shopped around and finally got home early enough from work to go look at one and found a new '13 xlt premium that was priced just right. didnt want to spend money for new but the used market for SD's 11+ around here is terrible.

Drove home with it last wednesday and then put it to work on thursday using both the locker and 4x4. Locker in 2wd is awesome to have but the street tires get rather muddy and caked up fast.

washed most of the mud off but need to wash it once it stops raining every other day here.

i did but was just tired of the little things that would pop up for no reason and i wanted something i could drive for work and not worry about it. Plus like having SOTF 4x4 again.

Ive heard thats why a lot of people trade in their old rides for new ones, less problems...except for that one toyota guy who loves his gen 2 toyota supra and his 80s model corolla....but they both have rebuilt engines/trans/electrical...etc to make them a new car except for the body.

Thanks guys. Just was the right time to move on up. It was either let the 6.0 sit for most of the next yr and get a few thousand miles on it, drive it for work and put 30-50k on it or sell it.

Just made sense but I didn't take too much of a hit since it was a 6.0 with 190k and branded title.

Going to keep this one stock motor wise at least until the warranty is gone but looking into suspension plus wheels and tires.
