Sounds good in theory but would be a pain in the ass to swap em in an out. It's not like a jeep with a pin hinge. Everytime you'd have to align them and tight hinges an its just not worth it
Maybe some half doors and put snap buttons on them so u could and some soft jeep style windows, then you could leave them on all summer
Hmm, maybe I could convert my normal doors into pin hinges too that way it would be even easier to swap in and out. I have a car too so id probably just drive that on rainy days and cover the doors on the truck with tarp or something and leave em on all summer.
alignment is not an issue. all you do is drill a small PILOT hole to line up everything correct again. alot of us that restore classic cars do this when we remove our doors/hoods to ensure we still have that nice tight gap as we did before we removed. I'm sure you have done that on your mustang before. as far as your original idea, i think it would look good but dont use too large of a tube. the smaller tubing will look better as it wont be so OBTUSE. $.02
Yea but that method doesn't always work and it still doesn't mean it won't be a pain in the ass swapping them out. Those doors are super heavy even with a hoist its going to suck. A hinge pin door is your best bet
I was just thinking, how is the open door alert and cab light triggered by the door being open and how would I go about bypassing that?
