Ok so last week I took the FORD tail gate emblem off to spray black but right at the last minute I decided to liner it with some left over cans I had. I liked the texture, but when the sun hit it it wasn't jet black enough. Today I sprayed a top coat of black on and really like the outcome. Went and did the F150 emblem on the gate as well. Tomorrow I'll do the fender emblems. Last week, just liner Today
Had some time today and finished the fender emblems. Had some engine primer and paint laying around so decided to do the exhaust black. Too hard to keep the polished tips looking good with our winter months. Matches the theme well too. Also took off the running boards since they were always filthy and made the truck look even dirtier. I like the look right now and can always throw them back on if I rip the crotch of my pants too many times trying to get in. This is my next new project unfortunately. I rent out my basement in the summer tourist season and part of the sell is a nice little POS island car you can beat on a little. Well I try to drive it a few times a month and today, going down a dirt road, the exhaust broke at the cat-midpipe (or resonator). Rather than waste time welding it back, I'm just gonna cut the cat out and clamp in a piece of straight pipe and exhaust paste. I bought the car for $300
Truck looks good, not much else to black out now! That car is exactly what i'd let renters have, you can't really lose after spending $300 lol
Ya everythings pretty much blacked out to the max. I still want to bake the headlights and tint the amber sidemarkers. Mag-Hytech diff should be arriving soon, and I've just contacted Josh at Tasca for some tow mirrors. The Civic is funny. I bought it off a guy asking $600. Has 180K miles on it. Ran good except it literally had no brakes. Talked him down to $300, went to sign the title but he accidentally signed his name twice, once where I have to sign, so he had to spend $25 for a new title. He made $275 haha. Changed the front rotors and rear drums which were a ***** since everything was rusted and fell apart. Changed the oil and tranny fluid, the car doesn't even have power steering or AC so there's not much that could go wrong with it. So I'm only into it about $400 total. On the to do list for it is a new passenger door since it's dented pretty good, new rocker molding piece on the passenger side, new CD player and antenna because the one in it doesnt work, now fix the exhaust and eventually sell it for $1500-$2000
Thanks bro, I ordered power tow mirrors today from Tasca, should be a busy weekend with the Mag-Hytec and mirrors.
