Alright i really got the bug to beef up my truck since the lift it just feels to slow. The 3 items are Roush supercharger, Magnacharger, STS Turbo

I'm wondering which would be the best for performance and IF possible without totally killing my MPG aince it's my DD. :jester:

turbo. its free performance, runs off the exhaust and has an unlimited range of power. s/c on the other hand runs off of the engine, so it takes power to make power. usually s/c is cheaper and easier to put on but turbos are great. if you plan to do off roading ud need to put it up high in the engine bay so they dont suck in mud or dirt. sts usually has it under the cab....but maybe a custom set up would be good....all would cost a couple g's...but if you got cash burnin a hole in your pocket go turbo!

He's got a 3V engine so he couldn't use the kits for those. From what guys on other forums say, Roush is all around good with some upgrades from JDM tuning. Whipple will be the best for high power with supporting mods of course. I've heard the Magnacharger likes to slip belts but who knows. Lots more guys on f150online that are supercharged I think and I saw your question over there so you might get some answers from guys who actually have a supercharger and turbo and not just dream about/research them like me

i saw a truck a while back with a sts kit, it was a bad mofo, but at the time it required some extra work outside of the kit. don't know if they've since made it more complete or not.

Ive been reading turbo allot, and if you have the knowhow to figure out all the specific components you need, you can get a decent turbo from a Junkyard and build a diy kit pretty cheap. Then data log with a knowledgeable tuner. Read on Turbomustangs.com . They have some people that have done kits on f150's.

Turbo would kick ass, twin turbos would be even better (Velociraptor anyone??) but they're more complicated and cost more.

Superchargers are pretty much bolton, but still take time to dial in right. Whipple is what most guys use on the F150s, more power than the Roush. F150online definitely has more guys running boost, check our lightningrodder.com also.

Either way, make sure you get an intercooler! Worth some more ponys and lots of peace of mind
