Lol.. Impossible to keep clean while trimming. Like I said after I'm done trimming, I'll drill my 4 holes and then clean everything nice and good with alcohol like roush said and prep good. Good thing I'm not keeping the lens chrome cause its all scratched up from the Dremel slipping across it haha
Haha that little Dremel is a monster.. I got a late start at around 7 yesterday and got that one done. Should be able to get alot more done today
todays update. got one projector fully mounted, modified the shroud a bit and it slid on flush, primed the housing and shroud. started on the other side, got the housign cut, projector fits in and i ran into my first mess up. when i drilled the 4 mounting holes 2 were straight as an arrow and the other two were crooked when i started to feed in the screw. so either i figure out something to plug those two holes with and try to re drill, i can run 3 screws and it's pretty much straight. or i'm thinking of getting my other spare headlight, cutting it and trying it all again. i'll have a long boring day at work tomorrow to think about what i want to do. everything mocked up before i took it all out primer Also i need some opinions, since i'll be painting the housing and shrouds black should i paint the blinker bowl?? i have switchbacks but i don't know how good they would reflect in a black reflector bowl
Incandescent bulb in a black bowl Id paint them, it'll look silly with that being the only chrome IMO I can't wait to get projectors cause the chrome bowl on those lights drives me nuts
I would take some elec tape and cover the blinker bowl and give it a test. If it works w/ that it'll work painted.
