i might yeah my parents bought me a nice truck for a graduation present but they don't spend anything on my mods, i work for the money to spend on the truck. i know a guy exactly like that, 10 inch lifted tacoma whos spend 10k+ in mods for his truck, all by asking his mom for money
I couldnt do that, the closest to that I have ever been is my mom might get some of the smaller mods for christmas, lik paying to have a system hooked up or something like that but I prefer to do all of that stuff
My parents didnt buy me ****.. lol I think they would have but we were a poor family, my parents could barely keep a car themselves.. I didnt get my license untill I was 18 cause I dropped out of school, right before I turned 19 my grandparents gave me a 1989 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 318... It sucked on gas though so I traded it for a 1995 Dodge neon.. But I hated that car and ended up trading it for the ugly truck (1988 F150 with I6) I had that for almost two years while I worked doing anything I could in 09 my dad died, he had a small Ins policy we got like 23,000 I knew when my dad died that I would have to take care of my mom so me and my little brother took the money bought her a cheap car then took the rest and bought a forclosed house.. there was a couple thousand left but that was used up pretty quickly on repairs and funiture and stuff.. So me and my mom moved into the house and I continued to work saving money.. In 2010 I had about 3500 extra in my savings for a car so I sarted lookin but didnt find anything I really wanted about a month later we got a phone call from ins.. apparently because my dads death was accidental there was some seperate policy type thing and they ended up sending us another check, by that time we already had a house and I was making enough money to pay all the bills and keep food in the house so I took 1500 and put with my 3500 and bought a 2004 Mustang V6 which I later ended up trading for the F150 I have today.. So I guess my dad did help me get my truck in a way..
That ain't the same as mom and dad tossing money at ya anytime you want a new set of rims or what have you. There's nothing wrong with parents helping you get a car or truck. Hell my folks didn't help me get shat, nor have they ever helped me get anything. I moved out when I was 18 and haven't been back. My parents didn't help me and my wife buy our 1st or 2nd house. I think my dad bought me a $99 pushmower for a homewarming gift back then. There's always been kids that have parents that give em what ever they want and kids with parents that don't or in some cases can't do anything more then supply a roof over their heads. It's happened like that for years and will continue to happen long after I'm gone. As far as Dillon goes, who knows, he may have a job. I have no clue, all I know is he told me his pops owned a propane business in Jackson. We put him on blast, and for all we know he may pay his own way.
Ive personally paid for all the stuff on my truck and im only 16. I also pay all my gass. My parents would prolly do anything in the world for me but I wanted this to be mine, all mine Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
kinda thinking something like this since I am gonna have to step down to a ranger soon, gotta save gas but aint got room for a 2nd vehicle and still have a need for a truck
I would love to build a rat rod like this. Already got a good bit of stuff to do the motor left over from the 69 mustang me n my dad restored.
