My wife called me while I'm one the road and she says she heard what sounded like a gun shot and she looks outside and there is my truck drivers side front tire all the way up in the wheel well what could have broke I drove it today b4 I left for work and felt like it always Does normal

All ball joints are good check a month or so ago and yes it sucks and I won't get look at it or fix tell I come off the road Friday what would make t bar break or let go?
