I like them but I dont use my bed a whole lot though...keeps people from using my truck bed as a trash can
Is there a way to relocate the antenna? It'd be a shame to get rid of it even if you don't use it that much as they are nice to have. If it's one or the other I would keep the antennas; I think tonneau covers defeat the purpose of having a truck; might as well got an SUV. I don't like the look either. I think they make a truck look less hardcore. Isn't that partly why some of us buy a truck? I guess on a lowered truck it doesn't look as bad. I'm just not a fan. The deciding factor I guess is what you think you will get the most/best use out of.
Or just mount them on the hood/ fender. My dads truck. I had dual whips on my scab flareside mounted on the fender/ hood Sent from my iThingy using Tapatalk
that looks dope right there, atleast for a lifted truck...it might not look right on his since its a stock 2wd and with him being bama's family itll probly wind up lowered
In this day and age, why does anyone even have a need for a cb unless it is for fire/rescue or business?
It's on my list of things to get. My buddies and I roll up to Big Bear every year and occasionally to Glamis. I have a set of hand held radios that we take but I wouldn't mind havin the CB (with a PA system). They really aren't needed but fun to use.
I made a rear frame bracket for my antenna on the F-75 (Ranger). It comes out right at the front of the rear bumper on the right side of the truck, I used angle aluminum and an antenna tube clamp bracket attached to the angle. Then I put a small "Tuff Balls" dog ball on the antenna to keep it from bumping into the tail light and bedside corner.
Get a tonneau similar to the A.R.E., they are sturdy enough to stand on and you could mount your antenna on the cover
That's on my dads stock 4x4 250. We used to use them when we had multiple trucks and a dump truck. Now it's just for fun and talkin to the loader guys at out materials places. Sent from my iThingy using Tapatalk
