    the engine idling up and down is from the ac compressor kicking on and off. mine does it too. its from the e fans i guess cause thats when mine started doing it.


    i cant help you with the relay.

    no i know what youre talking about with the ac compressor, this wasnt it. it was rapid as hell.

    i just cleaned it.

    it stopped as soon as i shut the heat off but started the second i turned it back on. i pulled out the drive and drove about a block, stopped and turned the heat on and everyhing was fine.

    Does your radio still work fine? Stations clear? If not you might have interference

    i normally have my phone hooked up to it the radio. ill try turning some stations on.

    im going to run the truck today with out the AUX. power wire hooked up. if that is the problem im going to have to find somerthing to wrap the wire in. i like how clean it looks without that things hanging across the engine.

    If it turns out you see it doesn't continue mayhem on the GEM module
    relays by disconnecting the new route of the aux. power wire
    maybe a Faraday shield over the power wire or around the
    GEM module could solve the interference problem.

    I found some rolled roof patch at Home Depot, rubberized on one side and
    aluminum foil on the other. I was going to use it as a cheap Dynamat
    alternative on my Ranger doors, maybe that would work for a Faraday shield.

    Some practical reality in my tinfoil hat concept.
