I don't know how you have yours run, I guess there's probably different ways of doing them, but i'm just going off of the couple i've helped buddies do and i'm just not a fan. Not saying it's wrong, I know more and more people are starting to do that now that the "tip craze" is kinda dying off. I've started graduating away from all the stuff that you like as a teenager, the obnoxiously loud exhaust, flashy overpriced rims, train horns, custom painting every single thing on the truck...all kind of stuff for attention. I guess i'm just still hung up on the tips haha. I'm sure 10 years from now i'll look and give it a "wtf?" but for now i still like my tips like I like my tits, big and round.
Mine just goes muffler + 3" of tubing, then the turndown. Could have something to do with the truck sitting closer to the ground too. I would imagine it changes the sound. I'm not totally against tips, just some of the enormous tips I see sometimes perplexes me. Something like this Gibson sport truck tip looks nice if it's angled tastefully and positioned right on the truck.
