Ok guys, hopefully I get this new job im really hoping for so in a month or so instead of buying new tires and running on my 16's I can upgrade and go with 18" rockstars. Problem I have is the 18's are like 9" wide with a 4.5" BS. To me my 10" wide rims now with the same BS isnt pushed out far enough, but do-able. So I was thinking, buy the rims and tires, pick up some 1.5" spacer (2" if you guys think i'd be safe) and run them no big deal. Buttttt my lugs are 2inches long, how does that work???

First off, rockstars don't have a BS. Second, 2" isn't safe, and 3rd you gotta grind your original studs so they are flush with the spacers

i think nitewolf meant they dont have Negative BS, which would help offset the tire away from the UCA (which is where most of us rub when goin to large tires). This was the issue for me. I thought I had gotten 1.5" spacers, but when I type that, it looks funny, so I am gonna double check here in a little bit after i eat some lunch.

My studs needed to be ground down as well, but not alot. In fact, just 2 studs on the rear axles had to be ground down so the rim would sit flush on the spacer. Now when I say I grinded my studs, I'm talkin LESS than 1/4", and this was done w/ the spacer on so I wouldnt over grind. I didn't have to grind 1 stud on the front end however, which seemed weird to me. But 60k miles later, no issues whatsoever.

LOL so like I said, 9inches wide.... 4.5 inch back spacing= 0 offset.
