Another thing, my 97 reg cab had a 3:08 gear ratio, and I could still burnout with 285 75 16 tires and a v6. But it had to be a smooth road. I had no problems what soever, it was just a little sluggish when it came to take offs. haha So you will definitely be fine.

    You've got a 5.4, he's got a 4.6

    Old 4.6...

I'm not saying the 3.55s won't do it, but his truck would be way happier with 4.10s

my 4.6 with 3.55's turned them pretty good. I had no issues on highway on ramps and such.

Thanks everyone for your inputs...I went by Discount Tire on the way home and took a look at the wheels and had them put a tire on them and put on my truck. And to be honest I am glad that I did that. The wheel itself is nice and I like it....but when it was put on my truck..looked awful. Truck is gloss black and the wheel was matte black and they clashed something terrible. No joke guys..it was BAD. So I am still contemplating going ahead and getting the FX4 wheels for now...and then when I get new tires in about 6 months or so...Then I will get a set of wheels that I will be happy with for a while. I dont want to rush the decision to spend $600 and not be happy. Hope yall understand and I dont want to waste yalls time. What do yall think about my decision??? Dumb or decent idea?????

Aren't most black wheels matte/flat black anyway? I've never seen too many shiny black off-road style wheels honestly.

Good idea. I just sold off the black trucks set up, since i'm going with what I shouldve done to begin with. My lowered truck is next in line for a mistake.

I believe most of them probably are....But those wheels didn't have a lip of any kind and I think if I found a wheel that had a lip on there that was aluminum or chrome or just something to break the colors up a little would help. Black truck, black tires, black wheels...Need something to help break up the contrast. I think thats the problem

The gloss black wheels are the pricey ones. Unless you go with a procomp 52 series. Basic bullet hole/D window with or without simulated beadlock

97madness....That truck you have is badass.. I loved the setup.Looked good. I just honestly dont want to rush into a decision like that. Thats alot of money. And if Im uneasy about it than I dont need to do it. I would rather wait a little while and find a set I really like.
