This has been intermitted problem. I changed transmission fluid. the truck will stay in first gear unless I shift it down in two second, automatic transmission. If I shift it into neutral, the idle goes up to about 2000 RPM. no engine lights on the dash? should I change or clean the IAC part. or and change the transmission solenoid? both of these happen at the same time. 2001 Ford F150 5.4 LHelp someone please

both of these happen at the same time.
Late reply, but since both act up at the exact same time I would look for one thing causing both before buying a solenoid pack or an IAC. On these 5.4s a bad TPS or a flaky speed sensor on the tail housing can make the PCM hang onto first, and a TPS reading wrong will also kick the idle way up. Put a cheap scanner on it while it is acting up, plenty of 4R70W trans codes never turn on the check engine light. Does the speedometer still work right when it gets stuck in first?
