After being on the road for 3 hrs my Sirius radio loses the signal and cuts out. I get the message "acquiring signal". This is while driving down the Florida Turnpike. I've had Sirius refresh the radio and the dealer look at it, no luck so far. Anyone else have this problem?

I have had similar signal loss with my XM while in Florida traveling south.

I am formerly MECP,
Mobile Electronics Certified Professional
installer and installed some of the first satellite radios to hit the market.

No it happens north and south and whether I am on the turnpike or not. It happens all the time after about 3 hours of being on. It happens in the keys.

Some of mine was due to the alignment with the the two satellites they have.

One that covers the eastern US is called "Rock" and the western US is called "Roll ".

At certain times of the day in the fall and spring the sun is almost directly behind the satellite and it will cause a loss of signal that can last minutes to hour.

I've even tried unplugging the terra side of the antenna lead waiting 30 minutes and reconnecting with no change until I found out about the seasonal sun interference problem.

Doesn't affect me as much later in the day here.

Your problem sounds
Like a power heating up the circuit board and it makes a connection open up.

The Sirius/XM is built into the head unit of the factory display screen /all in one control?

I'd make the dealership replace the head unit under warranty due to an open circuit when head unit is in operationally heated condition.

Of course the tech will have to replicate the fault before they believe it as a validity of a warranty claim.

Then who knows how long to get one of those all in wonder display control head screen units shipped to the Keys.

Fustrating having bought a new vehicle and have to prove it don't work to get it fixed.

Then waiting on parts and downtime while it's being repaired.
